Carbide Spray
Using this latest technology, we are now capable of accelerating alloy metal particles to the super sonic speed of Mach 3, creating coatings that have a bond strength ten times greater than any other coating in the world! The particles sprayed with this new method are extraordinarily resistant to abrasion, corrosion, erosion, thermal and chemical deterioration. As you know, traditional metallize creates a mesh coating of mechanically bonded particles that can be sealed to help resist wear. Our new system utilizes a liquid fuel, similar to that of a jet engine, to propel the particles at an ultra-high velocity. These particles then bombard the part, resulting in an “impact Fusion”. This technology is a vast improvement over traditional combustion spraying and plasma methods.

Imagine the ability to apply ultra hard tungsten carbide coatings to nearly any shaped surface that can be grit blasted. 90+ Rockwell coatings in thicknesses from .001” to 1/8” can be sprayed on almost any surface to provide the ultimate in abrasion resistance.

Examples: Chip fan housings, head, feed plates, and knives, chutes, knife holders, anvils, and Debarker arms.
